Wallpaper cycler utility written by umop ap!sdn, July 28, 2005 What it does: This application randomly selects images and uses them for your desktop wallpaper. Please note that there is no resizing or compensation for aspect ratio. Currently, this program is only available for the Windows operating system. You will need Win 9.x or NT4 or later to run it. How to use it: Download the .exe file and place it in its own folder, then copy any wallpaper pictures you have into the same folder. Currently, only files in .bmp, .jpg, and .gif format are supported. You can also download new images to this folder such as from sites that offer wallpapers. Once you have gathered a collection of images in the utility's application folder, simply run the program and it will select one at random. How to configure this utility to choose a new wallpaper every day: Browse your start menu, navigate to the Startup folder, and create a shortcut to the .exe file. Each time you reboot, a new wallpaper will be automatically selected. What to do if it doesn't work: Most likely this is because you have never installed any applications that use the DLL files that this program uses. In such case, write me at musicfan@eknent.com and I'll create and upload a regular install exe. The complete install setup download will be much larger than the program itself because some of the DLLs are quite large.
