Come my dahlings and listen to my sweet, sweet lies Evil grin

1. I bought a new tv recently.

2. I'm making chicken and dumplings for dinner tonight.

3. I have a picture of somebody I don't know sitting atop my computer desk.

First let me say to St. Jimmy  Stick out tongue I most certainly can cook and did indeed make a big pot of chicken 'n dumplin's last night. I have leftovers for lunch today. Drooling

KOS and I seem to be good at callin' each other liar as of late. Laughing It is indeed number three. It used to be a truth. I bought this picture frame in an antique store and it had a picture of somebody that appears to be from the 1960's judging from the lovely bouffant do and the orange dangly earrings. Recently, I put a picture of my newest great niece and her mom in the frame.

Lie KOS Lie!

#1 I'm attending a meeting in 45 minutes over which I will preside.

#2 I'm attending a meeting in 45 minutes whose purpose is to discuss candidates for a new job.

#3 I'm attending a meeting in 45 minutes at which Indian food will be served.
 #266   Back to top

It's gotta be number three. I mean, Indian food is good and all but served in confined quarters at a meeting is just not a good idea, if you know what I mean.

I think it's #2.

I'll take #2 for reasons that at this moment must be all too obvious.  (Hmm, I'll have to save that one for a "get the reference" sometime.)

As it flew, an idea formed itself in the Procurator's mind, which was now bright and clear. It was this: the hegemon had examined the case of the vagrant philosopher Yeshua, surnamed Ha-Notsri, and could not substantiate the criminal charge made against him. In particular he could not find the slightest connection between Yeshua's actions and the recent disorders in Jerusalem. The vagrant philosopher was mentally ill, as a result of which the sentence of death pronounced on Ha-Notsri by the Lesser Sanhedrin would not be confirmed. But in view of the danger of unrest liable to be caused by Yeshua's mad, utopian preaching, the Procurator would remove the man from Jerusalem and sentence him to imprisonment in Caesarea Stratonova on the Mediterranean — the place of the Procurator's own residence. It only remained to dictate this to the secretary.
