I'll go with #1 since I doesn't understands the other 2. Confused

Well, that leaves 3 for me.

It's #2.  I wasn't given a Saturday school this year yet.  But did have one left over from last year.  I get in too much trouble.  Your turn KOS!

Happiness is just one curly fry away.  I'm thinking Arby's™

Oops.  I came to this thread to see what a-hole is holding the works up here, and to post a gentle reminder, now I see who it is. . .

#1   I've been to the big island of Hawaii

#2   I've been to Kauai

#3   I've been to Maui
 #125   Back to top

It's number one. It was actually Lanai but they told you it was the Big Island.
 #126   Back to top

I'll guess #3, just for the heck of it. Big grin
 #127   Back to top

And I'll take 2.

And we have a winner!  Your turn, umop.  Went to the big island a long time ago, and Kauai a few years back.  Never been to Maui, never been up that mountain everyone climbs to watch the sunrise, etc.

I think I didn't choose a very good set of three statements though, if I get another turn I'll try to make them more varied.  It's more interesting that way, I think. . .

Yay! Smile

I always think of a good set of questions, bump this thread, then forget what they were long before my turn. But the thing about sunrises gave me an idea.

1.) I have seen the International Space Station

2.) I have seen Uranus

3.) I have seen a total solar eclipse

It's number one. You thought it was the space station but turns out it was a replica of the Enterprise some clown was dangling in front of the telescope.

I'll take two again.

I've seen, lots of times, a glowing white dot moving steadily across the sky at times when sites like Heavens Above have predicted the ISS to pass overhead. Big grin Haven't managed to catch it in my 'scope yet, but I really should. (LOL, good one swampy!)

I've also seen a faint bluish dot through my telescope at the right place where ephemerides have predicted Uranus would be among the background stars. It's a little anticlimactic, I'll admit - although on the other hand it is a bit of a feat to be able to find something that hides so well.

ISTR it was in June 2002 when a partial solar eclipse was visible from my (at the time) location. Just looked like someone had taken a bite out of the Sun. No totality though, unfortunately.

Lie to us again, KOS! Smile

1.   I was once mistaken for a KGB agent.

2.   I once entered an African country illegally.

3.   I was once in an airplane that skidded off the runway (while I was in it).

I'll take 3.

It's number one. You were mistaken for Bond. James Bond.

2

'Cuz it's really been my lucky number so far.
 #138   Back to top

Well, troubleagain is the winner.  #1 and #2 are true!  #3 is a complete fabrication.
