The good news is, three day work week! YAY! The bad news is, I gotta get stuff done for Turkey Day Thursday then I'm goin' up on Friday to spend the weekend with family. ACBG will do the same thing on Friday. We'll also be apart during Christmas but will celebrate New Year's together. We consider that our holiday. Not that we go all wild or anything cause there will be the usual gang of people over to eat their greens and blackeyed peas for New Year's so they will have money and good luck in 2007. I see that as my job to start 'em off right. Then if they screw up they have nobody to blame but themselves. So There!

Actually, as far as Turkey Day goes, I have dressing already made up. It's in the freezer and all it needs is cookin'. Mr. Turkey is defrosting in my beerator in the laundry room. He's a twelve pounder and will get all et up on the day. I've got sweet N.O.T. already baked for the pies which I'll cook Wednesday night. Mr. Turkey will go in the oven Turkey Day morning early and be all ready for the feast at one p.m. People will start arriving around elevenish that morning. There will be munchies (courtesy of somebody else) and mimosas (courtesy of us) and Bloody Mary's (courtesy of a friend who makes a dang good BM). Lots of sides will be brought in. Oh, and I'll cook the collards Wednesday evening and heat 'em up on TDay. Greens are good cooked the night before and reheated just before serving. Mellows 'em out real good. The giblet gravy (the real reason for the whole thing) will be prepared just before the feast is served. OOH! I also found out that somebody is bringing a caramel cake made by this lady who makes the nummiest cakes in the world. Said cake was pre-ordered two weeks ago and will be picked up on Wednesday. It is soooooooo nummy! YAY!!!

Me rambling on and on and on and on about Turkey Day plans.

As it flew, an idea formed itself in the Procurator's mind, which was now bright and clear. It was this: the hegemon had examined the case of the vagrant philosopher Yeshua, surnamed Ha-Notsri, and could not substantiate the criminal charge made against him. In particular he could not find the slightest connection between Yeshua's actions and the recent disorders in Jerusalem. The vagrant philosopher was mentally ill, as a result of which the sentence of death pronounced on Ha-Notsri by the Lesser Sanhedrin would not be confirmed. But in view of the danger of unrest liable to be caused by Yeshua's mad, utopian preaching, the Procurator would remove the man from Jerusalem and sentence him to imprisonment in Caesarea Stratonova on the Mediterranean — the place of the Procurator's own residence. It only remained to dictate this to the secretary.
