Natlangs
- Gothic, the language of the Visigoths and Ostrogoths, which I studied for the wrong reason, i.e. the name.
- Gaulish, once spoken throughout much of Europe and named for Gaul, what is now France, because I was brought up with this naive idolization of Celtic culture.
- J'ai étudié Français,
τὰ παλαιὰ Ἑλληνικά,
am procrastinating on learning русский,
and have forgotten most of what I used to know of 日本語 and
ภาษาไทย.
Conlangs
- Caruvat,
my first attempt at a conlang,
purported to be a constructed language of beauty,
but really just a mess that resembles something out of Kerbleckistan and reeks of vague cultural appropriation,
and that can even be written in emoji because why not make it as ridiculous as possible.
- Thengu 'Alvuev,
a language of fictional elven beings of the forest,
which I've pretty much abandoned since it is impossible to learn and beyond impossible to pronounce.
- Oh, and speaking of cultural appropriation,
ask me about the time my paleface half-German ass made a conlang that was half Semitic, half Algonquian.
